Yes many times...
And works just fine...
I have had a few machines that had network problems, installed SP3 and
problem gone...
Also do to laws (so I've heard) and such after installing SP3 you will loose
the ability to put an address
bar in the task bar but I have a fix for that...
Got it from a MS forum...
I tested it and it works...
Their was other ways but this worked the best...
here is the snip...
Re: How to recover the address bar in taskbar in Windows XP SP3?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We wrote a minimalist shell toolbar which 'hosts' the pre-sp3 address
bar and allows it to be added to the taskbar. No reimplementation, the
exact same behavior as before SP3.
http://www.niversoft.com/downloads/xp-sp3-addressbar.zip
Currently there's no installer, please follow simple instructions in
install.txt

I have had SP3 installed on several machines for several months.
Of course whilst I have not had anything bad happen it depends entirely on
whether you have a proper computer or some sort of pile of shit.
