|
|
Anyone else having XP 3 having it's registry changed by Quick Time every now
and then?.... I have Norton and that catches it on its scan but classifies
what it is doing as "low" and "no action required".. The first time this
happened, I opted to have it removed and it went into Norton's quarantine
and it screwed up my volume control on my PC and the msconfig choices
changed completely.... The only way I got everything back (which was easy
once I figured it out) was to go to Norton's quarantine and canceled the
removal. Everything went back to normal. The only thing I have to do every
time this happens is remove qt from downloading on startup in the "run"
"misconfig" etc..... I would just remove Quick Time Player but it seems many
things require it... I didn't have this problem on Windows 98 sec ed ....TIA |

Quicktime is a virus! I won't allow it near my systems. |

Get Apple's QuickTime off your PC if you can (it's not easy) and install
QuickTime Alternative.

Thanks as usual relic.... I removed it from my "add and remove" .... and |
installed the QuickTime Alternative from the link you provided.... So,
hopefully this will end the annoying register changes the other original
Quick Time program would perform for no reasons that I could figure out....
Thank you both..... Vi |
